OUR OPERATING PROCEDURE
- Occurs inside a sedimentation tank which settles to the bottom all the organic and inorganic solids while the grease, oil and lighter solids are moved to the surface using skimmers.
- A maintenance level of MLSS less than 250 ml is necessary to prevent bad odours from building up in the plant. A periodic addition of bio culture and chlorine will prevent such odours. When ultra-filtration is used correctly, the treated water can be used for the flushing of the toilets and gardens.
- Under no circumstances should rainwater enter the STP, It could flush out bacteria and cause flooding. Periodical lab tests are vital in enhancing the plant’s performance in order to maximize its efficiency.
